About Us

As a Speech-Language Pathologist and mother, Kara is passionate about helping children reach their full communication potential by speaking clearly and effectively. She firmly believes strong speech and communication skills lead to improved behavior, self-confidence and increased success in social and academic settings, ultimately leading to a better quality of life.  She strives to create a safe and welcoming environment where her young clients feel  excited to come to speech therapy.

She received her B.A. from UCLA and her M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Chapman University where she graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors. She has been a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of CA since 2016 and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)  from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Kara has clinical experience in both private practice and school settings across the life span with an array of communication disorders and has a special passion for evaluating and treating pediatric speech sound disorders and language delays.

In her practice, Kara takes a client-centered, evidence-based approach to evaluations and therapy. She is dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest research and techniques and regularly engages in continuing education and professional development.

When  not in the office helping her pediatric clients speak clearly and confidently, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two wild (but adorable!) sons, reading and enjoying the beautiful salt and sun of Orange County's beaches and hiking trails.
