Services
Speech-Language Pathologists are licensed to evaluate and treat a broad range of skills related to communication, swallowing and feeding. Our practice specializes in the areas of pediatric speech sound disorders, speech & language delays, and stuttering.
Always looking at the whole-child, we take a client-centered, holistic approach to evaluation and treatment. Evaluations, treatment and parent coaching are offered in-person at our clinic. We also offer tele-therapy options for parent coaching.
Evaluations
We offer thorough evaluations for the differential diagnosis of speech and language delays, speech sound disorders and stuttering. Differential diagnosis distinguishes between the different types of delays and disorders which leads to identifying and implementing the appropriate treatment approach. Evaluations are approximately one hour in length and include:
-An oral mechanism exam to assess the structure and function of the mouth and related structures crucial for speech
-A detailed case history
-Analysis of conversational, natural speech
-Criterion-Referenced testing
-Informal Observations
-A written report with recommendations

A child 3 years of age should be understood by strangers 75% of the time and 100% of the time by age 4. If a child has difficulty being understood and/or is having difficulty producing speech sounds (see chart) a speech evaluation should be done. You can read about expected language milestones here.

Parent Coaching
Parent coaching is an evidenced-based highly effective treatment model for a variety of speech and language challenges. Parent coaching can be done in-person at our clinic or virtually, whatever is most convenient for you!
Treatment
We offer individual speech therapy sessions at our clinic which include parent coaching and a home program. Our therapy approach is always evidenced-based and specific to the speech or language challenge the child is presenting with. We aim to make therapy fun and engaging for the child and always tailor the session to their interests and individual needs.
